Hello everyone.

I just noticed that I should likely add this in. This is a thread for all your comments, critiques, etc about how I play Sayori Wakaba from Vampire Knight. This is my first time on poly so I am still getting used to the format (and reading rules and all that). If anyone sees anything that seems inconsistent or feels that it is a bit OOC, just post it here and I'll do my best to reply and correct what I can. (You can also post good comments here as well :D)

Please note that since the manga is ongoing, I may need to change things later on to work with new chapters that come out. Currently Sayori is from Ch 31 so anything past that chapter, hasn't happened to her yet. So if you tell her about vampires and she acts mildly shocked, its because she hasn't found out about them yet. (Or at least doesn't officially know...she's very observant so she may suspect that something is odd about the Night class).

So yes, any comments, critiques, tips, etc...please reply here ^^.

(As well, comment screening is on default settings. Don't be shy to reply because of that. I don't bite :P)

[The connection is raspy and sounds very much like an old recording. As it records one can hear a chair being pulled across the floor and then the sound of Greensleeves being played on the piano. Although well done a mistake is made near the beginning and then a frustrated clatter of keys can be heard.]

I don't know what my tutor will say. I just can't...I've tried but that note will never stay where it's supposed to.

[An attempt to start Greensleeves and then another clatter of keys.]

Ah this is impossible!

I just don't what I will do....mother and father have said that if I can not even get a simple song like this right..how am I expected to do well when I marry?

..Perhaps I can try again..I may just try it slower this time..

I'm sorry everyone for what I said or wrote yesterday. I was affected by that silly rating curse and I couldn't help it!

...I did try to delete but the device wouldn't let me do anything to those posts. I'm very sorry. I hadn't expected it to be that bad so I tried to talk to some people yesterday....I didn't realize I'd rate everyone I talked to.

Maybe next time I'll just stay off the Network until the curse is over...

Hopefully everyone is alright after that curse and nobody is too mad about the ratings.


Also, does anybody know a good place to buy some cat toys? The cats have started attacking the curtains and I think they need some new toys to keep themselves busy.

It's been quiet lately. The curses haven't affected me and the holidays passed without much happening. I suppose I've been lucky, I've seen some people get affected by some pretty bad curses as of late. Also it is nice to have some peaceful holidays..even though I've spent them mainly with the cats.

Zero's come back to the City but...he's the way he was when I left home. I had hoped all three of us could stay together longer. I didn't want the problems of home to come here. Now he doesn't want to talk to her. She's still Yuuki-chan, no matter what happens. It's not fair to treat someone like that after all those years. I may not know what happened then but I know that she hasn't changed.

I miss Yuuki-chan. I haven't seen her much since she left and I wish I could spend more time with her, like we used to. I know things can't go back to that but maybe I can speak to her so we can meet every few days to just do fun things. At least I can still talk to her....it was very lonely at home when I didn't know how she was doing.

I hope Kaname-senpai is taking care of her..

I hope everyone has been doing well. It's been rather quiet here, but the cats have been playing a lot so they've kept me busy. The holidays were rather quiet but I've heard that there have been some bad curses lately. Hopefully the rest of the month won't be too bad.

..Hello?.. (the voice sounds really young and childish)

I..I'm stuck.

I was tryin' to get cookies from up high, but then the chair fell, and now I'm onna counter but no chair.

...I found the cookies though..



(OOC: Yori's about 6 or 7, home alone and stuck on the kitchen counter. She's not going to starve to death since she has the cookies, but I don't think she wants to be up there the whole day.)

[Accidental Video]

(The device is on the table recording a small decorated tree. It doesn't look too bad, all of the ornaments seem to have been hung carefully and the star on the top is just a little bit crooked. The lights are also nicely done, all different colours and twinkling slowly. A girl then walks into view with some silver tinsel and two cats trailing behind the tinsel. Yori has been working on the tree for most of the day and just needs to put the tinsel around it now to finish it off. She's just managed to put the first few turns around the tree on when the cats, one black and one grey, attack the end of the tinsel.)

Ah! No, don't do that!

(She reaches down to shoo them away and lift it out of their grasp. The cats take off, out of the sight of the camera. Carefully putting the last bit of tinsel on, Yori steps back to admire her handiwork. Even though it's not real (one can tell because of the base that is visible at this point) she's still happy with how it looks, especially covered in all the decorations.)

(As she steps out of the view, the camera continues recording the merrily twinkling lights on the tree until Yori returns with a few presents in her arms. Placing them carefully under the tree, she sighs before she stands up again. It seems like it will be a lonley Christmas for her this year but she's picked up a few things, just in case certain people decide to come over. Or just incase some one else returns to the City. Yori had hoped that she and her ex-room mates could spend Christmas together, but recent events make her sure it won't be happening. She had planned to not put up a tree at all, but the room and the house just felt very empty and not holiday like at all without one. She decided it was much too empty for the holidays and that a tree would be just the thing to fill the void.)

(Turning towards the camera now, she gasps as realizes the little red recording button is flashing. Walking ovcer to it quickly she picks it up before speaking into it.)

Ano! That wasn't..I mean..I'm sorry!

..I was just decorating the tree..incase anyone wanted to come have Christmas over here..

I hope everyone is doing well, the last few curses seemed to be a bit tough. I wasn't affected by anything though...I seem to have had some luck with that at least.

(She looks at the camera a bit nervously before continuing.)

Oh! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve...so Merry Christmas to everyone!

(The device goes dark as she turns it off.)

Ano! Has anybody seen Yuuki-chan or Zero-kun? I..I.. can't find them!

The groceries are still on the counter..but there's a new black kitten that Zero-chan is playing with..Yuuki-chan's door is also open..

I just don't know where they are...

If anyone has seen them...please tell them to contact me or to come home! I just know they wouldn't go off like this..

(ooc: Yori is at home panicking because she can't find either of her room mates, there are fresh groceries on the counter, a new black kitten and no sign of anybody. This is in regards to the canon update of Yuuki, detailed in this log, and this post.)

Oh! I almost forgot! I'm sorry to everyone about the weekend...I..I was convinced that I knew who FML was...but it turns out I was cursed. I'm sorry if I caused any trouble! I woke up to find notes ..about them all over my room.

(OOC: An eventful night last night led to Yuuki-chan falling sick and being unconcious for most of the day. Yori is worried of course and is not happy with things. 4th walling is of course a go, she's close to being up to date as it is so feel free to throw things at her. ....(pause of silence before a shriek breaks up it up)

(Sounds of running and then a door slams. Yori's breathing is heard as she tries to keep quiet. Less than a moment later she shrieks again and another door slams as she runs away.)

WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?!?!



(OOC: I thought it would be fun to have her haunted by a certain blonde playboy today. ALso this is sort of a placeholder since I have to go to work >_<. I'll tag once I'm back! )

I came here at this time last year Zero-chan..

Even though I was home for a year..or what was a year at home, I still came here first at this time. It was nice to be somewhere so new. The City was so different from the Academy and I met so many different people...

It was also nice that Yuuki-chan and Zero-kun were here too....

A lot has changed since than though...but at least Zero-kun and Yuuki-chan are still here and happy. Kuran-senpai is here now too.


It is October though...I hope the deities don't have something terrible in mind...

I'm not feeling that well today so I think I will be staying in my room. It's best that no one comes to see me, I'm really not feeling well and I'd rather just rest for now.

I hope everyone is doing well today. I'm quite happy to be back in the City.. especially since I can be back with Yuuki-chan.. Although the curses can get a bit bad, I'm happy that they've been rather okay recently. I just hope they don't get any worse than the tooth fairies. Those tooth fairies were really quite scary but we stayed in the apartment and didn't leave all day.

The mountain was definitely something that normally doesn't happen. I have heard of earthquakes swallowing up cities but never raising mountains. It does look nice though and the top even looks snow covered! Maybe it would be a good place to visit to go exploring... has anyone been up there yet?

(OOC: Yori is happy to be here and reunited with Yuuki-chan. She's worried about them being from the past though. She doesn't want to tell them all that has happened since it's fairly bad. Especially with Zero. So she's acting normal and happy to cover up her worries. She doesn't want Yuuki-chan or Zero to realize that she's worrying about this, especially since they don't know about the future.)

(The camera is focussed on the open door of a room.)

Yuuki-chan? I saw something outside...

(soft footsteps are heard coming closer to the door)

There's strange music, and the building feels like its humming too..

Can you hear it?

(The footsteps stop at the door and one finally gets a look at Yori in a new dress. She searches the room visually and finally her eyes settle on the device. Frowning a little as she notices a red blinking light on the device, Yori walks over to it and turns it off, the image going dark.)




(OOC: Yori is affected! She's dressed in steampunk fashion and sees nothing wrong with it. She's currently trying to find Yuuki-chan because the music and the werid things on the buildings near the apartment are getting her a bit scared. Comments will be in voice unless they are action comments.)

She walked briskly back towards the door, holding back tears that were threatening to fall. The look he had given her...he never did answer the question.

 

Yori knew that Yuuki-chan was a vampire, she had seen her before she left. She also knew that the Night Class had been made of vampires. That didn’t make them any different in her eyes, and Aidou-senpai had not only saved her but also taken her to safety when Yuuki had to leave.

 

She just didn’t understand why Zero had become like this after Yuuki left. He had become so cold now, always on his own. Yori knew that Zero and Yuuki had cared for each other and it must have hurt Zero to see her leave, but he sounded… just now…like he would hunt her if he had to..

 

Yori drew in a short breath as she leaned against the door to her room. The tears that she had been holding back started to fall slowly. She wouldn't allow it. Stepping through the door as she tried to wipe the tears away, she didn’t notice that she was no longer in her room.

 

[Video/ Action starts here]

 

(The camera seems to be in her bag and offers a view of Yori the carousel and the sound of slight sniffling as she wipes away her tears.)

 

A gasp is heard as the camera ends up pointed directly at the carousel. The video goes blurry shortly afterwards as Yori spins around to look at the view behind her. The camera picks up the few lights that are around her but the place looks fairly dark and eerie otherwise. A couple of more steps in a few different directions and the camera is struggling a bit to focus.

 

A sudden all out run towards what seems to be the biggest building in the area sends the camera jumping around with Yori’s movement. It barely manages to record, in jumpy sequence, the Opera house that they are nearing.

[Video/ Action for Room mates]

[The camera turns on and the couch comes into a view. A grey kitten is sleeping near a smaller brown and white striped tabby that looks to have the same shade of brown fur as Yori's hair. Waking up to a playful nip on the ear, the tabby kitten looks around confused, as if that wasn't where she went to sleep last night. The turning, looking and staring at her paws that the tabby kitten does looks certainly like someone not quite in their own skin. ]

[A few sniffs in the air and it seems the tabby kitten has noticed the camera recording her. Padding up to it, she sniffs the lens.]

Mreeow?
Hello?

Mraoow! Mraow Meow!
It's me Yori! I'm a cat!

Mraow...mraow?
Yuuki-chan? Zero-kun?

[She paws at the camera in concern until she is swiped off the table by a grey blur. Small meows are heard from below the table.]
